History
Growing up, Rick had always shown interest in mechanical functions. From an early age he began tearing apart toys, bikes, and other mechanical items to simply see how these things worked. As Rick grew, his fascinations grew as well and he eventually harnessed that curious energy into becoming a mechanic in the U.S. Army, working on military vehicles in Baghdad, Iraq. Unfortunately, his military time was cut short when he suffered from a back injury while deployed.
After the military, Rick intended on using the G.I. Bill, but struggled to find a field he loved as much as being a mechanic. He looked into trade schools and technical programs that would allow him to keep his hands on wrenches.
Eager to find a profession as technical and complex as the military systems he once worked on, Rick encountered an accounting professor who noticed his detail oriented nature and indicated that he had an affinity for the intricacies of accounting. Much like the inner workings of motors, Rick is able to see and understand the inner workings of tax code and laws.
